Bio

Like so many of us who make drawings, I have been making them since I can remember. And like so many of us, I did not always do drawing for my primary income. I found I could write clear copy and was pretty good at page layouts which I did for Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO and for several marketing companies. But all the while, I drew stuff, sometimes to go with the writing, sometimes not. These days, I do both: draw and write as a freelancer and as a fine artist.
My training has been a collage. It is easy to say I am self-taught. And it is true I am learning new things all the time. But most of what I have learned formally has been at the Art Students League of New York as well as on the job.
These days, much of that learning has been digital, using Procreate and Adobe Fresco.
